Dr Senthilvelan Rajagopalan is a pioneer and superspecialist in Shoulder, Elbow and Wrist surgery, with particular expertise in sports injuries of the upper limb. His patients describe him as a trusted and approachable surgeon, highly respected by peers across India and the United Kingdom.

He completed his MBBS at Kilpauk Medical College and his orthopaedic postgraduate training at JIPMER, Puducherry. He subsequently undertook specialist training in the Wessex Region, UK and completed a two-year Fellowship in Shoulder, Elbow and Wrist Surgery at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, UK — working alongside internationally recognised names in the field.

To further broaden his expertise, Dr Velan spent time with leading Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons in Germany and France, earning the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) qualification — one of very few surgeons in India to hold this distinction.
